Kim’s inspirational words to the Griffiths Leadership Society served as a catalyst for connections among diverse and distinguished Mizzou student leaders and alumnae. Sharing leadership lessons through personal life experiences, Kim engaged our members and guests.  We were on the edge of our seats, alternating between laughing aloud as she tickled our funny-bones and wiping tears, as she tugged at our heart strings.  I think we all retired that evening with a renewed belief in what is important in life and ideas of how we might want to try to make the world a better place, as Kim has by example.

Kim, on behalf of Stephens College, I want to thank you for delivering the keynote address at our Fall  Academic Convocation.  Your remarks were just what we all (faculty, students and staff) needed to start the year.  The content, as well as the delivery, kept everyone’s attention and led us to focus on what matters most in each of our lives.   We really appreciate the opportunity to hear your story from an honest, provocative perspective.

Kim’s engaging and inspirational remarks provided our audience of young breast cancer survivors with guidance, empowerment, laughter and an encouraging look at the things in life that are truly valuable and worthwhile.

Kim Becking, diagnosed with breast cancer at age 30, speaks with authority and compassion to breast cancer survivors.  She encourages them to feel empowered to address the challenges they face as they travel the journey of breast cancer, and she inspires them to make the most of each and every day.

Thank you so much for participating on the program to launch “People Like Us”, the National Kidney Foundation’s patient empowerment initiative.  Your presentation was informative, inspiring and – judging by the many positive comments we heard – VERY well received!

Sometimes our light goes out, but it is blown into flame by another human being.  Each of us owes our deepest thanks to those who may help to rekindle the light (Albert Schweitzer)…  Kim Becking is that person. She helps to rekindle the light.  Kim is insightful, compassionate, knowledgeable and sincere.  We were so lucky to have her as our guest speaker. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to hear her speak…. it is a moving experience. She was fantastic. She was everything we hoped she’d be and more.

Thank you Kim for speaking at the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.  With a combination of honesty, courage, and humor, you put a very human face on the breast cancer experience.  Behind it all, you have an extensive knowledge of the issues surrounding this disease.  With your easy, approachable manner, you forged a connection with our group of survivors and those who support them.  It was an unforgettable evening of sharing and of hope.
